I spent a beautiful cloudy afternoon with Alyssa and Pat recently at Corsen’s Inlet State Park which just happens to be where they got engaged! I can’t wait to share their dreamy beach engagement session complete with their cutie pie dog, Charley! You know pups are the way to my heart! Enjoy!
It was the day after one of my best friends wedding and we were heading down the shore for the long 4th of July weekend. We spent the day on the beach relaxing in the sun when Pat suggested going for a walk. We went for a long walk down to Corsen’s Inlet State Park. As we got to the end of the beach Pat turned around, got down on one knee, and said he couldn’t wait to start a family with me and Charley (my dog). I was in complete shock and could not believe it was happening! It was the best moment of my life so far. We walked back from the beach and both of our families and friends were down the shore to celebrate with us.
We met on a Friday night in January at one of our favorite bars in West Chester. I was out with a few girlfriends when we decided to stop in at Side Bar to warm up before going to the next bar. Pat was also at Side Bar with his friends celebrating one of their birthdays. Pat instantly caught my eye when he walked in to the bar upstairs. I pointed him out to my girlfriends and said I wanted to talk to him. I’ve rarely gone up to a guy before to introduce myself but I just had to say hi! And that’s literally all I got to say to him that night was hi and my name. We both went our separate ways and I thought that was the last time I would see him. The following morning I was scrolling through tinder and guess who was the first guy to pop up? Pat from the bar last night!!! It felt like fate. I swiped yes and lucky for me he had already swiped right as well.
We are a very active and on the go couple. We like to stay busy hanging out with family and friends, going down the shore, and we both are super competitive and love games (beach games, softball, board games, etc). We also love relaxing at home with yummy snacks and our favorite dog, Charley
