I’m so excited to share Sanya and Dan’s Fairmount Horticultural Center Indian Wedding! They incorporated the bright colors and decorations that go along with an Indian wedding but also carried through with an American style ceremony. I love how Sanya wore an Indian wedding dress for the ceremony and changed into a white dress for the reception. It was the perfect blend of so many traditions. Sanya and Dan truly made the day their own! I can’t wait for you to see this colorful and joyful day filled with so much love!
One of the first things I remember thinking about Dan was that he is kind and easy to talk to. He is always curious and attentive when speaking to people about their interests, no matter how small or eclectic they may be. I love that he is unapologetically himself and has a great sense of humor that always keeps me laughing.
I feel so comfortable around her. She makes each day feel so much simpler. I like that during the day sometimes I’ll think about her and it makes me happy. Seeing her smile and traveling, trying new restaurants, and doing whatever other activities we do together always makes me happy. I can’t imagine it any other way.
Finally getting married to my best friend! And having our friends and family who we don’t see very often all in the same room.
We decided early on that we wanted an Indian-American fusion style wedding. We wanted to incorporate the bright colors and decorations that go along with an Indian wedding but also carry through with a more American style ceremony.
We knew we didn’t want a formal ballroom style reception and that we wanted our wedding to be in Philadelphia as we have lived here for the last several years. I was worried about weather and we wanted something where we could be flexible and have an indoor wedding if the weather did not cooperate. The Horticulture Center in Fairmount Park fit everything we were looking for and we love the greenery!

The portraits of the bride & groom at the Fairmont Horticultural Center are beyond gorgeous! I love the love between them, but love your photography of them especially! The bride’s henna is on point and all the colorfulness of the sari’s- YAS! I love that the bride incorporated both traditions with her Indian dress and her white dress, and she did it beautifully!
