Maddy and Joe’s Union League Philadelphia wedding was simply unforgettable! They chose the historic library for their first look and Joe’s reaction to seeing Maddy for the first time was the sweetest! Their ceremony took place at St. John the Evangelist in Philadelphia followed by an epic exit out of the church to at 1930 Rolls-Royce which transported them to the reception (and I had the opportunity to ride along!).
The reception took place at the Union League of Philadelphia. Their friends and family greeted them adorned in Black Tie attire and waving white pom-poms as they entered the ballroom. Proud to Plan helped to coordinate the day and Maura Rose decorated the space with the most beautiful florals in a very natural and organic way which complemented the historic venue perfectly!

What do you love most about each other?
Maddy is the kindest, most patient, most loving human being I’ve ever known. She asks a lot out of people, but gives so much more in return. In that way, she makes everyone around her a better person (myself included), but also shows each of the people in her life overwhelming generosity of affection and support. I hear it often, but I never take it for granted, I am so lucky to be the guy she chose.
I love how dedicated Joe is to helping other people without hesitation or regardless of how busy he is. From teaching special education to volunteering with kids to raising tens of thousands of dollars for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to his goal of opening up a foster home, he truly makes a positive impact on the world every single day.
What are looking forward to most on your wedding day?
Seeing each other for the first time before becoming husband and wife.

Maddy loves the beach and Joe loves hiking so we wanted to incorporate an overwhelming feeling of the beauty of nature on our wedding day. We will include very natural, organic flowers, shades of green, and touches of pink and yellow to create an elegant world of whimsy our guests can escape to.
