I love lists.  They help me set goals, keep me focused and it is the BEST feeling to cross things off.  On my 29th birthday I decided to make a list of all the things I wanted to do before turning 30.  I don’t dread turning 30, but i do have a lot of things I feel I need  to accomplish before then.  I am going into this with a specific attitude:  I am going to work very hard to finish it, but i’m not going to beat myself up if I don’t.  I want to add happiness and peace to my life, not stress.

Since I wanted to add a monthly personal spin to the blog I decided this would be a good place to update the status (with photos of course!) So here it goes – my 30 before 30 list…

1. Take a hot air balloon ride
2. Have an awesome Halloween Costume
3. Dye my hair – color has never touched my hair
4. Sleep under the stars
5. Buy a house
6. See Macchu Picchu (continent #5!)
7. Beat my fastest time for a half marathon (assuming i’m physically able, since my PR was from age 18!)
8. See a whale
9. Get in crazy good shape – lose 20 lbs
10. Make a craft from scratch
11. Personal Health goal…
12. Ride on a sail boat
13. Host a party
14. Design our wedding photo album
15. Go on a weekend kayak trip
16. Get a photography sign for the front yard
17. Overcome my fear to donate blood
18. Organize our new house from top to bottom
19. Attend a multi day photography workshop
20. Have a picnic with my hubby
21. Get my calf muscle back from my achilles rupture
22. Check off another national park
23. Change positions in my day job
24. Secret photography business goal :)
25. Watch a really scary movie – I refuse to watch scary movies and Mike has been trying to get me to watch one since we met
26. Go Fruit picking, surprisingly something I have never done
27. Make new business cards/branding materials
28. Decorate a really fancy cake
29. Try a very unique food
30. and one to grow on!!
