15 states & 4500 miles later we are back! Mike and I just returned from our much anticipated cross country road trip. We visited Indianapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City & bunch of national parks (my favorite part!) – Theodore Roosevelt, Badlands, Yellowstone, Windcave, Mount Rushmore, & Glacier – all before ending up in Seattle and flying back. This vacation brought me peace. I saw so many golden sunsets across so many different landscapes that were just breathtaking. We drove for hundreds of miles through the vast emptiness of North Dakota on lonely two lane highways, just us and the cattle. We went on hikes where all I could smell were acres and acres of wildflowers. We stopped at old Americana places, eating famous “foot-high” pies, touring a palace made completely of corn, and taking pictures with dinosaur statues from the 1930’s. Behind our honeymoon, this was a close second to my favorite trip of all time. How do I bottle up this feeling and keep it with me? I’m hoping that looking back at the images will help!
Love everything about these pics! They make me smile!!
